Should humans be permitted to destroy forests and slaughter animals for own consumption?

Day a day our society exploit natural habitats for consumism, and also slaughter animals for food. Do you think humans should be permitted to do this?

Humans should not be allowed to destroy the enviroment for their own benefit. Consumerism has taken our society to destroy our own environment and the species we coexist with. Is clear that humans need to survive in certain way, but there’s no need to destroy forest, slaughter animals and be a violent human beings to survive.
