Are parents responsible?

Should parents be punished for their kids' mistakes? If so, how should they be punished?

I think this is a huge consequence for parents. However, they have to take care of their children, knowing what they are doing, who are they whit, and what are their justification for doing what they are doing. I am not saying that parents have to be behind their children all the time, but knowing something of them is really important.

I do believe that in some way it is parents are guilty about the fact that their children are terrible and little disasters. All human beings learn by imitating something or someone. If a child sees his father saying profanity, probably he will say them too. Nowadays there are many parents who are not in the houses to be with their children. Who cares and gives example? In a big part is media, television and music. Without a guide that tells you what is right and what not, how will not act in this way?
