Can hobbies turn into vice?

I have seen people that started doing exercise because of health and now they do exercise with the simple argument that THEY HAVE TO DO and this is just an example. Although people have nice hobbies, some are not healthy and the best example is the fact that they can live with something they call "hobbie" so ,in my opinion, this means it is not a hobby anymore, it is now a vice.
Do you agree? leave your opinions! It would be pleasant to hear different oppinions.

I think that yes but when this happen it will not be your hobbie because you use your free time in a hobbie, when it became a vice, you will use use more than your free time
