The most expensive work of botero is of 2'080.260 dollars, what makes it so valuable?

In my opinion the reason in which Botero work is so valuable could turn around the fact of being alive nowadays;moreover, he have created recognized work in Colombia and outside Colombia causing an elevated price on his own work.

I think that Botero's work is worth to be so valuable and expensive because of different reasons, one of them could be his great job on each one of them making each piece so special and so different. Another reason could be the fact that he is still alive and that he is one of the greatest artist of Colombian history.

I think Botero is known around the world because he is an innovator in the infrastructure of art and he reaches people whit his work; moreover, I also think he's work is very valuable because he is a creator that includes something new and not something mock. His round art atractt people that want to see something different than the usual.
Like Leonardo da Vinci said: “Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.”

first of all botero has always put his golden heart to his work and like this he had acquired popularity to his work, doing what he likes. also boter is known world wide for his work that seem to loved and been special.

In my point of view, the reasons that makes Boteros works valuable is the extravagant geometry that he uses in their scultures and way of representing the human body shape.

Botero's work is valuable because it expresses the meaning of ancient beauty, as his purpose was to show that for being beauty you don't have to be skinny, also it's very valuable because his work is unique in the world. No one, at that time, could have the idea to draw or sculpture fat women, and for his crativity some people call "Boterism" to his style.

What makes Botero's art so valuable is the particular way he makes everything. That is something rare and beautiful at the same time and that conbination is what makes art valuable. To be unusual.

You are just telling the same as the question when you say the value of his most expensive work. In the other hand, I agree with you when you say that each of Botero's topic is unique and especial.

I think botero's work is so valuable because he put his own style in each painting some experts have denominated this style " Boterismo", which consist in  the interpretarion that Botero guve to different aspects of the universe llike humans, pain or happiness
