Why do we sometimes waste time?

We are conscious that there are things that we do that don´t contribute to our lives. Why do we keep wasting time then?

I disagree, I don't think that these thinks are a waste of time, if we do something it's because we like to do it and the entertainment is a very important thing when we are talking about the human development and this unesesaary thing as you call it are necessary for us to be happy and for us to still want to live in this world.
