Does the government have to put a law for the age restriction on videogames? Empty Does the government have to put a law for the age restriction on videogames?

The videogame industry has evolved over the years, with the first arcade games on the late 1980s, to the VR on our homes. There has been a lot of games, each of them divided on categories. From the games able to play to all the families to the games that are only able for those that reached the adult age. However, this games, that have a lot of adult content are played by teenagers between the 14 years old, and this may influence violent acts on children having by an argument that the game incited them to o that. I would like to know if the government needs to get involved in this situation.

Óscar,
I you haven’t notice different countries doesn’t allow the distribution of certain video games to different people, these countries respect the classification in Colombia this doesn’t happen. For example in United States if you are a 12 year old child and you go to a store for buying games like Grand Thef Auto 5 the personal will not sell the game to you and also they might give a economic penalty to your parents. Goverments also prohibited the distribution of certain games in their country countries like Thailand and Brasil that prohibited the distribution of some Rockstar games like Grand Thef Auto and Bully, if you are catch selling these video games you might go to jail. Governments are involve with these situations but some of them only.
