León de Greiff and his importance

León de Greiff is consider on of the most important writers in Colombia because of the controbution in literary movements taken place at Medellin. Also, he is consider one of the writers that use new techniques at the moment he write.

Leon de Greiff achieved international recognition in 1964 when he won the swedish north star, an award given to those whi exel in literary arts.

Leon de Greiff had been acknowledged for his stylistic innovations and deliberately eclectic use of obscure lexicon, winner of five awards; a prize of poetry was named after him ; He was nominated for a Nobel award in Literature; has 8 best-seller works.

León de Greiff represents very well Colombian society, he study engineering in Medellin and law in Bogotá; however he was passionated about poetry ( publishing many recognized books of poems like Tergiversaciones in 1925) and music driving him to seek and becoming a professor of Music History at the conservatory. His first job was a a civil servant that takes him to be a recognized diplomatic.
He is very important because of all his innovations and all the work that he made in all his life, how all the things he study are integrate for making an spectacular work.

Leon de Greiff was one of the most prominent poets of the twentieth century in Colombia. He was one of the first promoters of the Panidas literary movement of Medellín in 1915.

Leon de Greiff it's very important because he was distinguished for its symbolic,sarcastic,imaginative and musical lyricism; consequently, he is one of the most originals writers in Colombia by the singularity of his style and innovation methods.
