Can technology become an adicction?

We have all heard our mom's cliche "you seem addicted to that thing?" But is this really possible? Can cellphones be like drugs or alcohol?

I think it is possible since now-a-days we can find almost everything on the internet, on our cellphones. Some people even find more interesting using their cellphones than hanging out with their friends or families. Not only cellphones can be addicting but also TVs or computers; so if the use of this electronic devices isn’t moderate, we can get addicted to them.
