Although there are some reasons for them to separate, maybe it is not really justifies. It all depends on the people, if the referendum goes in favor or against then Catalunya will become either a new country or stay as an autonomous community in Spain. There is a problem with the second option, as Spain would not receive them well for trying to separate from the nation, but instead, they would become more different than other communities in Spain.
