Yamid Amat or Gabriel Garcia Marquez? Who contributed more to the Colombian society as a journalist?

Sure, they both made a great job for Colombian society, but, who must stand out because of it?

Yamid Amat is far cry from Gabriel Garcia Marquez, however Yamid had contribute more to Colombian society as a journalist, because he discus present situations.

Yamid Amat is a better journalist; however, Marquez has the best of both worlds. Marquez was a journalist; however he wrote fantastic books. Gabriel deserves more recognition.

I'm afraid I can't see eye to eye yizuztowers, because I'm firmly convinced Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a better journalist.
He made various actions than I'm proud to take out, such as:
-wrote in "El universal" diary of Cartagena.
-wrote in "El Heraldo" diary of Barranquilla.
-work in "El Espectador" diary of Bogota as foreign journalist in Paris.
-founded "alternative" that leave a strong mark of government opposition.

For me Yamid Amat is better than Gabriel Garcia Marquez as a journalist because Gabriel Garcia Marquez was a writer and a journalist, but only in the first years he dedicated to the journalism, but the strong field of him was the writing no the journalism minwhile Yamid Amat has always been a very recognized journalist in Colombian journalism and also in international journalism.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez have won the novel prize. This kind of prizes is the most important one in the world, so wining it contributes to the Colombian culture, and put the Colombian name in the podium of the world.

In my opinion Yamid Amat related to Gabriel Garcia are both as important in theme of contribution; furthermore, I need to clarify that both have different contribution to Colombian society such as the Nobel prize or the international viewers as a journalist. Both contribute and have the same importance but the difference is in how they contribute.

I agree, because even if we talk about what he made as a journalist or as a writer, in both Gabriel Garcia Marquez did a better job and contribution to colombian society.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez has been far cry the best novelist in Colombia's history, yet I must say Yamid Amat has more recognition in journalism, as he has dedicated his whole life to it while Garcia Marquez was more involved in novels and short stories. Amat has been awarded four times the Journalism Award granted by the CPB (Círculo de Periodistas de Bogotá) and has been nine times winner of the Premio Nacional de Periodismo Simón Bolívar; hence, I believe he has had a more outstanding performance in journalism.

I relieve that Yamid Amar has contribuyen more to colombiano society as a journalist because he has not only dedicarse his whole live to ir, but also because he has been given many awards thanks to it; meanwhile, García Márquez only dedicated to journalism un his first years of career, to become a magic realism afterwards.

yamid amat has contributed the most as a journalist. he has dedicated his life to journalism, while ggm divided his time between journalism and writing.
