Which models do you consider are the best?

I have been asking which is the prototype of models here in Colombia, something which is really a hot potato for some, so I really want to know which characteristics do you think that a model should have.

To be a model in our country or in any country for that matter, you need to be someone that possesses a very complete package of different personal aspects like: the model must be a very sweet, charismatic person. In other hand she have not pay attention of the hear it on the grapevine that she could hear of herself. Ofcourse an other aspect they need is to be beatifull.

For me giving exact characteristics of a prototype of model is just not correct. A lot of not "beautiful" models are just denied even when they are blessing in disguise. Each woman is pretty in their own way, not only because they are skinny, woman are a lot more than that.

Models should be persons without fear of showing the world the real person that is behind every gossip or every bad commentary people always say. Models should show the world that anyone can be perfect the way they are. Models should be strong people because they are the ones people criticise the most. Models should keep head and shoulders up whenever a crisis arrives. Models should be proud not only of their physical perfection, but sentimental perfection too.

Concerning stereotypes, a model must be thin, tall and the society's concept of 'beautiful'. Modeling enterprises nowadays do not really care about their personality, just their aspect and their disposition of working. In my opinion, there should not be stereotypes when talking about modeling, it is a very difficult career and people capable of working in it must be considered models. No matter whether he or she is fat, Latin, black or, in general, not what the society expected, there should be not discrimination in this aspect and if anyone would not like to see a fat woman posing in swimwear, then there are many other women in the modeling enterprise which you can see instead of judging some others. It is up to each ones decision, there might be beautiful thin, tall and expected women which wouldn't be caught death working in the modeling world as there might be the ones not considered "appropriate" for this career who effort a lot trying to get to model.

I think that the models are based on a stereotype that society has been creating for a long time. When we think of a model, the first thing that comes to our mind is the typical model with perfect features and sculpted body, which is not bad, due to the fact that we are used to thinking according to our culture and beauty stereotypes.
On the other hand and from my point of view, give stereotypes to a woman is not right. Today, society changed, we have learned to accept each one of the new ways of thinking that have been developed over the years. Our mentality is changing and the way we see the beauty is also different. Models like Amazon Eve (World´s tallest model), Candice Huffine (A curvy model), Masha Tyelna (Beautifully Unconventional Model), Thando Hopa (Albino model), Winnie Harlow (A canadian model who has embraced vitiligo) and also Natalia Paris (Colombian model with 1.55 mts high) are examples of women who changed the stereotype of beauty in fashion. Now I am going to make a long story short saying that nowadays the stereotypes are losing importance and any girl in the world can be a model.

I think that this kind of topic, is difficult because beauty can be seen of different ways, points of view, we can just focus in physic aspects, 90,60,90, the perfect measurements woman should have, but we can focus too in personal things, such charism, and much more values that can also make woman pretty, so for me models should have both, nice physic but nice personality too.

I agree with you but in this society, think about this is hard, society are only interest in physic

For me there are a lot of different stereotypes here in Colombia and for me the main cause of these ones are the social networks , because they have been showing us modelo of people whom are parctically imposible and who they fixe with apps to make their product or the thing they want to sell more atractive.

We live in a century in which society just see the phisecality of a person and not their feelings and that is why the society has been so degradeated through the years in a love aspect and in the social and cultural aspects.

The best model for me is Cara Delevigne, she is just perfect, is very very beautiful, she is gorgeous! for me is the best model nowadays because she is very intelligent and has a lot of personality, I do not undertand the people that say that she is overrated.
Just simply look at her!

I agree with you Daniel, she has a beauty that exceeds limits; however, I prefer Kendall Jenner. She has appeared on Vogue's cover a lot of times and her personality seems to be unique.

I think that a model should be first of all very tall, thin, beautiful face and body, photogenic, glamorous, that looks good with every types of clothing, etc.
