The visitors in colombia should at first know that all the gossips related to colombia are completly a fake, no every colombian habitant is a thieff or a drug dealer. Then they should Know that is a great place full of biodiversity and with one of the biggest potencials in the world. Finally they sould know that is easy to enjoy and have a good time because of the different malls, parks and culture places

I think visitors should know how to negociate prices when they are going to buy. They should also know what places are not save to visit, because they maight get robbed and even harmed. In addition, they should know how to take public transport in the cities that they are going to visit.

I take it for granted that foreigners may have been advised on danger and different possible stereotypes and prejudices. If they decide to go to Colombia, they must had taken these comments with a grain of salt.

It´s clear that visitors must know the interesting cultural facts the country has. Why we all act the way we act and how different we may be from them culturally. They must know the elitism and our way of driving too! They could be informed on the beauties of Cartagena or the feeling of peaceful jungle nights in "cabañas". Visitors need to know how not make a fool out of themselves by speaking Spanish incorrectly or with the "funny gringo accent". I´ve seen Colombians make fun of foreigners and it isn´t a very good situation to be in.

Also, Colombia may be an exotic country for English speaking countries so I also take for granted that they might investigate a lot before going to the nation. These ideas all make me think that visitors should know how to investigate with clear information.

I remember being in France and watching a documentary on FARC and our armed conflict. The investigators sure didn´t research through rose colored spectacles. They showed the French that we are living in a dystopia where no one cares for the other. If that may be the case for any other countries, I reaffirm that these foreigners must be brave and open-minded.

Visitors should know that Colombia is not just violence as the media shows, Colombia is more than that, is the biodiversity we have, the variety of species, the beautiful cities we have as Bogotá, Cartagena or Medellin, and the most important thing, the quality of the colombians.

People who visit Colombia should know that anyone can steal them, pickpocket them and even trick them. Also, that there are some specific places where is pretty dangerous to walk at night;likewise, it would be also dangerous to walk with a smartphone almost at every time.

A foreigner should know many things of the country as he can when coming to Colombia. You cannot only come to a place and do what you want, you need to have a planning. the foreign should know which places are famous in the country so he could go, what food should he eat, where he should stay in the place he is going like if he is going to a Bogota may stay at La Candelaria as it is one of the most important places in the country and the city. But he also should know which are the problems that can be presented in that part of the city. If the guy is going to a countryside place like a town, he should know that there are some groups that could be danger to treat with.

That Medellín is the best city of Colombia, taking into account it is also the most innovating of the world.

I agree with you, have information about the places, about cities is as important as have information about where you can stay or where you can eat, when this people get this information, the will be caught between two stools and they will decided about what they want to do. Also, I think that we most be careful with this type of information because this can made that visitors judge a book by its cover, in this case, the book is Colombia, however we know the image of Colombia in the world, we most create a better image and continue with the creation of this good image of our country.

I agree with you when you say the person needs to know everything about the place is going and knowing things about the country is going; in that way, it might give him/her of what he/she should do and decided the best of both worlds. I think Colombia is a country where you can find many beautiful things that you might not see in other parts: landscape with big mountains, variety of plants, the people as in every department in the country has its own personality and tones. For example, in the cost you hear the people talks without pronouncing the S somethings, in the coffee axis is like making the accent in the first part of the world while with the rolls is the opposite. I think Colombia is a blessing in disguise. Althogh, people also need to know the internal conflict is going on in the country due to they need to know what are risks that taking.

For food lovers it is essentially to know the typical food of each city like the "bandeja paisa" from Antioquia, or "friche" from la Guajira. Colombia has a variety of landscapes and unknown beauties that people can see when traveling from one city to another. The most important thing to know is the weather of the places, because knowing that, you know what type of clothe you need to take with you.

That the best place they can travel to is Medellin, they woukd find variety of entertainment, gastronomy, people that would receive them as if they were part of the family, nice women, beautiful touristic places and I won't tell more because they should live this and more aspects by themselves.

I think that Colombia is a great country, and visitors should know how good is the food in Colombia, or they should have knowledge of the multiple cultures that Colombia has. Also they should know Colombia with a enterprise that focuses on tourism so they can take advantage of security and a complete guide of the Colombian history.
