Many people believe that students that doesn't have good grades at school will not have success in life. Do you think that suceed depends on the grades you get at school?

In certain ways yes, but it isn't the only way to indicate if someone had been successful in school. If you study hard and prepare for exams and then consequently you have a good grade can indicate your success. Other type of successful work is someone who star doing all his lessons and consequently he hasn't more zeros in his homework can be another indicator of succes.

I think that the best way to measure the school success is the type of person you became. Being a responsible person with good discipline are things that we learn in school also having good relationships with other person or being sociable are things that really measures the success as person, citizens.

Not necessarily but in a certain way it does affect. Grades in school represent what you have learnt and all you learn is necesary and important for life. It doesn't means that if you fail all grades you won't succes in life but I am pretty sure that if you are good at school you wil be succesfull in life Wink

I think that grades are a good type of measure to see how it is the student knowledge improving, however in many ocassion it is not the perfect element, because some students in evaluations they can´t develop them the best way possible, however they know all that is ask.

Grades at school are just a number, sterile and lifeless. In my opinion grades do not demonstrate how successful a student is. Schools should grade students by qualities rather than numbers as they just codify the student into a category and it is decided if you pass or you don't by them.

I don´t think so because the value of a person is not measured with a number, it is a think that society tries to sell us but it is wrong, the intelligence is not showed by a number, and you can be successful with any grades!

No, students success because of their habilities and own interests. Grades won't define anyone as a person. If someone puts his effort in something, he can make great things, not only with a number.

Grades are just numbers that do not define you and never will define your future. If you aren`t good at something in school, it doesn`t means that you will not success in the future, also schools is not for everyone because you understand in different ways, so you express yourself in different ways. I believe in the theory that there are 7 kinds of intelligence, and we all have different of them.

Nooo! Remember that grades are just a number that sometimes are wrong (for injustice) and they can't tell you how good or bad you are... It depends on your interest and your wishes of knowing a particular thing, sometimes you don't put the effort so maybe it goes wrong! Never ever worry about numbers, you should worry about happiness

I agree with you. The grades doesn't measure how smart you are, or if you are fool, the grades only helps us see if we are doing it right or if we need improve in what we are doing but it is only one thing of many others that defiende how you are. You only can define yourself by the way you treat other pro and how you act in front a situation.

I disagree with you Isabella. Even though this topic is a hot potato. You said at school you learn your basics for life and that is true , but when you have had low grades and your performance at school hasn’t been the best, you start to be labeled as unsuccesful and grades start to define you when someone bases on them. Universities and colleges focus on performance when they want to choose their students. If you have good grades you can be considered brilliant as glitter. So yes, grades define if you are succesful because they are the ones that open doors for you.
