Will artificial intelligence eventually kill the human essence?

Several academics like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking have declared it should have a development level. Conpanies like Google are leading studies and prototypes on this devices. What do you think?

Juan, I think they won't. Firstly, technology always parcially replaces some human areas. An example of this is mail itself. When the Email was first introduced in 1970 peope thought it would completely replace Mail. nowadays, companies like U.S. Mail are still strong and functioning.
