Should the traditional politician parties in United States (Democrats and Republicans) become one only politican party?

Since 1854 with the fundation of the republican party, The different states of U.S.A have adopted different ideologies when coming to the politic topic. This has caused a polarization between the different states that follow one of the traditional political parties.

From my point of view, it is a very good option to join both parties, however, the process is not that easy, as you can see, democrats have a different way of viewing the world than republicans, that differentiates both matches and makes them fight for authority

Although many problems of excluding someone out of a place may be a serious threat, joining the political parties of the U.S might not be a good idea as many ideas would be prohibited, as well as coming to an agreement for any topic might take a longer time as the way of thinking wouldn't be changed by anyone with this alternative.
