Well, Juan, you can improve your English by practicing, doing excersices and learning new words, reading books help you to practice your vocabulary, talking in English frequently can help your pronunciation

We can improve our english buy watching all the tv programs in their original language (english), this way our listening skills are going to improve and we would extend our vocabullary.

Also, it is great to read books when you have time. Classics are perfect but I think you will end up with a weird english, which I guess is the one I adopted.
But don't read teenage novels, they're the worst.

I believe that the best way of improving the English language is reading or watching TV shows and movies. Mainly because they show a natural and common atmosphere, with the use of daily language and expressions. They can also help us contextualize the use of idioms, something we consider quite difficult.
