Re: Are books beter than movies?
Books are a lot better than movies because of three main reasons:
1. They are deeper with the words
2. They are much more complete
3. They tell more details
But also movies are good in sense of audiovisuals because:
1. They entregan more

Books are better than movies because in the book is where you can find the complete story and catch more feelings for the topic that you are reading.

Re: Are books beter than movies?
In my opinion, it's obvious that books are way better than movies. It's understandable that some people may not like reading for any reason but just ignorants without imagination can say that a movie is better than a book because they have images and books have text, because they have sound and books not, or any other vague excuse like that. A book let you create your own images with whatever is the atmosphere the book is describing you, if you have imagination a book will work it out either by letting you create sounds, people, images or places. When you read you travel. "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body" Joseph Addison. You may work out your body in order to look good but all that body goals doesn't matter if your brain is empty.

I must say that I prefer movies, not because I don't like to read or something like that, but at the moment of real feelings you can deny that a good movie do a better job than a good book. Yes, the book might have more information about the story, but at the end it somehow end with the same thing, though, there are books that do not apply this with their adaptations of movies, but the exception doesn't make the rule.

Books are better than movies, if the movie is an adaptation of the book. This is because books allow you to live on a different universe and escape reality for a while. You can imagine the characters they way you want them to be, and even improve your lexical skills. A good book can be a true work of art, that can cause a bowl filled with emotions. But nevertheless, a lot of movies are masterpieces and create and audiovisual trip that makes tons of people become a great fan of this art.

Re: Are books beter than movies?
You see, from one side, one can say that books last longer as classics than movies. Why is that? I think books aren't good sentiment transmitters as they, unlike movies, don't have visuals or music to evoke those feelings to the reader. If that's so, there must be something they are better at than movies. In my opinion, this thing is creativity.
Following on the idea of classic books being more powerful than classic movies, it occurs to me that there are too many book adaptations in movies. Unless the film work is exceptional, it won't be a classic if its a book adaptation. Where's the merit?
Those things that evolve continuously don't seem to be stuck in the past. Movies have more HD and HQ that serves the audience to better understand what's happening, for example. Books can't sustantially change but in a world where everything to be understood is done in such a way that is too clear, people will eventually stop wanting to understand written text. Individual realities become extremely similar between people that only comprehend a story the way it was filmed. The variation between us starts to lessen. That's where books become powerful. We can picture things our way, not the way everybody sees it.

The book are always going to be better. It's quite well to see how in movie you have a lack of creativity and imagination since everything is given by images and sounds. The difference when you read is big cause is you and your imagination that works because you have to imagine the characters try to figure out how everything will sound how are the shapes or colors. Also there are some books that atttached you in the sentimental part while the movie not due to you now they are not real, while in the book you create a hole new world just for understand one book. When you have read a book and then see the movie the hole perspective change because you had an idea of the places and characters but the movie changes everything. Owing to the producers and directors cannot make the same literary from the book since there is not much time for it.

Books are way better than movies. Of course some people just don't like to read and prefer to see the adaptation the movie has of the book plus the movie may be an easier way to understand the story where you don't have to use your mind. Meanwhile, the book opens a new world in each story, where you may imagine a complete different setting that other could think about, the book is the one who makes you think and create that whole new world. The movie is just a set of images another person have think about, if you read a book and then see a movie about the book, the second one could have a compete different point of view that you have think about. Deciding between books or movies can put you between two stools. Both of them can be very good, but deciding one or other is personal opinion. Books are for people who wants something more detailed and that can handle a book in the way you can read it without struggling. Movies are for people without time to read a book, when is an adaptation, and it is for those who can't read a book for it length or for complicated ideas.

Re: Are books beter than movies?
I would say books are better. When you read a book and the movie comes out, you will notice that there are a lot of differences between both. The movie usually throws 60% of the content of the original book, dialogues, scenes, even characters.
Books are for sure the best

I would say that it depends on the person, because there are people which like to read and imagine everything and there are others that likes to have a character that is represented by a person. In my personal opinion I prefer movies because it helps me to have a clearest view of the story, and also the background effects and the music which gives the movie a special detail is something that you can not find in books.

It depends
Books and movies are diferent type of entreteinment however, i prefer most of the times books than movies because they are deeper than the movies, they give you more details, and you can analize them better, and as movies are adaptations, they can't reduce 30000 words in two hours, it's like making a juice, you take an original fruit, but you mix it with other things wich can makes it better or worse; on the other hand, the film magic is something diferent, it transmit you what you had imagined, sometimes in a possitive way and sometimes no, and an example is Harry Potter, which i like more the books more than the movies exept for the order of the phenix, which the movie has it's own magic, and include their own original story, following the same from the book, but adding details and effects that makes it better than the book in my opinion.CamilaBaez9A wrote:yes , book are better because they are more extenso and they contáis more interesting things about what you want to know or about what are you enterntaining about. i preferí books 100% more.
They are different but they have their own style.
