I think books are better than movies since there are movies based on books. When you read a book you are imagining the location that you find more appropriate and you can create faces, there is no way your mind can white wash a character of a Korean book when you know what you are reading, with books you are not forced to accept the view of a casting crew

First of all, your questions on the description doesn't make sense with the topic you made; you are comparing books and movies, and still, the comparisons on the description are between 2 movies or 2 books, for example both Harry Potter and lord of the rings are books and movies. On the other hand, I believe that it depends on each person to like or dislike either books or movies, since no every person likes to read and not every person likes movies. In my opinion, I prefer books because they give a more deep description of a character's trates, what every character is thinking, and we can imagine our own perspective of each one of them without seeing them in a screen. Also many movies based in book tend to change a lot of aspects of the book that are important in the development of the story and affects significantly the plot of the story. For example in "miss peregrine's home for peculiar children", the story in the movie and the book is very diferent since in the movie, they change one of the main characters which is the girl that produces fire, but in the movie they change hr to a totally diferent person.

Re: Which is the best universe of books or movies?
I consider that the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit universe (also known as Tolkien's Middle Earth) is one of the most complex universes ever to be put in book and film. First, the universe Lord of the Rings writer, J. R. R. Tolkien, made was complex enough to put out 5 books following a storyline. Tolkien was inspired by war and totalitarianism, and crafted a world packed with different species, magical references, and un-relatable places to real life. Complex enough in the books, the way Peter Jackson adapted it into films was a creative visualization that somehow matches the personal view you had of the books. A universe, which Tolkien intended to make a reflection on the rising communist and fascist systems during the time, is closely represented in such a way that the initial opinion Tolkien had of the world surrounding him would turn into a visible way to interpret it through his eyes. So, not only is it an interesting world that only leaves you wanting more stories within the given space and time, but it is also a reflection on what he believed was right and wrong, represented under a first-glance interpretation.
