Why are some countries with plenty of natural resources poorer than some other countries?

Places such as Colombia have plenty of natural resources but are poorer than other countries, why do this hapen?

Maybe some countries do not know how to manage their economic resources or fail in different aspects, the contrary on other countries that can take control of their resources to grow and be stronger.

This happens, due to the fact that the things that matter some times for a country to be rich is in infrastructure, and infrastructure in turn depends on investment, if countries don't spend money in their countries they will always be developing countries.

For example United States is one of the most powerful countries in the world because it has a democratic constitution and because its men and women are free. One of the main problems non-developt countries have is the advance of poverty, sin is the direct cause of the lack of democracy and the excessive power of the State. The good use of raw materials also lies in the mechanisms that the country uses to take advantage of them in the best possible way, so that their economy increases and therefore they are more powerful and stable than others.
