I think single parents should have the attitude of both maternal or paternal figure to help their kids in what they need.

Juan... Traditional families are formed by mom and dad. But for some reason single parents are also seen in our society. Believe me that I’ve seen the cases that a single parent kid is in better conditions that a kid that have the both parents. If you are referring to an extra help that they can get could be psychological help, or even economical help. It really depends.

Th only requirements for a single parent to be a maternal or paternal figure are that they teach their kid values, show him love, and raise him in a normal way; not overprotecting him or not protecting him at all since they should feel confortable with the fact of having a single parent.
